According to aburke, BAC are not listed in the clubs-list. Best get this sorted before recruiting runners! I will have just returned from Connemara the previous week, so won't be running. But I might be in there anyway for the kids race, so will be there to cheer on fellow team-mates.

I've contacted them already on this, so hope to hear back soon.

It actually doesn't matter, as you will be entering via the AAI directly, and not using the online form.

Why did they have to schedule these things to clash with Rotterdam?

Because there is more to life then Marathon running ;) . You do need to give up lots of races when running marathons :(

When you registered with BAC you should have recieved your number, if you didnt send peckham an Emaill or PM to get this. You will need to be registered for 2010 :)

I'll email all registered members with their AAI registration details, so that everyone has them for future reference.

Is it 35yoyos to do this if your not in the AAI??
Edit- just looked at the website 'prices from 30eur'. To run a 10k in the park!! The words fool, money, parted come to mind.

ya can sing that , if i rem correctly from a thread a while back , €35 is used to cover celeb appearances ( fat chance of seeing them if you 40+mins and they 30-mins )
me would think its more if you not AAI member . wouldnt even think of doing it now if i had to fork out €35 !

For €20 it's not too bad at all especially if they let the AAI runners into a seperate pen from the regular riff raff. I'll be stood on the side somewhere with the camera for this one though.

And how exactly does that make it right? Why not make it 50eur or 100eur because its 'for charity'. There are loads of 5k's and 10k's on the calander which charge 15 or 20eur and many give a donation to charity. 30eur is a rip off plain and simple. But its your call, if you want to throw your yoyos away on an over-hyped event like this, be my guest.

Its expensive alright for only 10km esp when you compare it to the BHAA races and the value for money they provide. But gonna do this anyways as Im following a 10km training plan and from a timing point of view its perfect for me. Will aim for a new 10km pb..

So your willing to spend 20 euro but not an extra tenner. tell me what other 10k's raise as much as the GREAT IRELAND RUN in one day. Also when is helping to support 2 deserving charitys throwing away money.

The Great ireland run might be expensive for a run in the park but it is a great way to get newbie runners into running and then progress into clubs and bhaa road races. I am a newbie runner so i might be talking out my A hole but just my 2 cents

    How much does it raise?
I know people doing it for charity but they have sponsorship cards , not sure how much of the 30 goes directly to charity. Could be wrong but i've never seen a figure or %

When you run for charity they send you out a pack. http://www.greatrun.org/events/event.aspx?id=7

This is getting off topic now, so who is running for BAC?
