Beko Washing Machine *Door Explode*

I have a Beko washing machine wm6152w just one month out of warranty and typically it has broken down. The thing is, the door has managed to literally explode. The glass part of the door exploded outwards onto my kitchen floor sending glass everywhere followed by water as it was during a cycle. Thank god nobody was in the kitchen at the time as they would be seriously injured going by the noise of the bang. Has anyone had this kind of problem?? Now that im one month out of warranty, do I have a leg to stand on? Bought in Currys also.....please offer any advice

Well, don't assume that its not covered still by the manufactuer.
By law, and many don't know this, a product has to last for a reasonable amount of time/decent length of life.
So, you have a legitimate case, regardless of it being out of warranty.

Under the 'The Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 1980', goods should be:
    • Of merchantable quality
    • As described
    • Fit for its purpose
    • Corresponding to sample

All of the above points are enforceable under Irish Law regardless of
    of any Warranty or Guarantee.

Be sure to tell Currys this!

What you need to do is really play on the glass exploding. The last thing currys or beko wants is publicity for something like that.If it is really only a month out of warranty they should look after you. Get on to currys first thing in the morning
