Anyway, would like to know if there's a chance for individuals who finished higher cert to find a job and be employed. Thanks

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a Higher cert? Is that the old Senior Cert?

that's basically a qualification after finishing a 2-year course of study. I think it's what used to be called national cert.

I'd like to exit the course in 2 years, do some work, earn some money, and come back again for another course which i'd really like to do instead...and i'm just wondering if it's gonna be useful on my cv

You don't mention what industry you want to work in, but chances are, you will have difficulty finding a job.

You could try doing the Australia thing for a year though (their economy is doing fine) and work & save money that way.

i have one, i'm in the pharma sector, i certainly wouldn't have got the job without it, in fact 1 manager & another employee in the company (multinational0 have enrolled in an IT to do the exact same cert, it's highly regarded in the industry. the problem of course is the lack of jobs. but yes i'd recommend doing the cert. if you gain employment you can pick and chose other modules you'd like to complete as you work.

    good luck.

oh thanks for the replies, there's just not enough info about it considering that many would like to earn degrees instead, it's just that my time and my parent's money'll go to waste since i feel the course i'm doing's not for me...
back to you AARRRGH, I think the course I'm doing'll be in the manufacturing sector
I actually thought of dropping out just now, but since a higher cert still gon'be useful, then I'll gladly continue the course! THANKS!!
