Just fitted a new bonnet to my car, it has an indented vent which is just over the manifold, im just wondering would i need to get something to cover the manifold from the rain?

personally wouldnt worry too much about rain on the manifold, i wouldnt imagine it would cause any harm.

Maybe im wrong? im sure there'll be another answer aswell :)

Shouldn't matter, the manifold gets very hot and would burn away the water anyway ;) As long as there's no electrics nearby !!

I'd be more worried about idiots at night stuffing food and other things through the vents

mesh/gauze underneath might be something to look at
