Which are better for the least destruction of healthy teeth?

Do you require implant after implant or denture after denture if this is the case?

Welcome honest opinions on both and pros and cons of each with implants obe being the most expensive option.

    Thanks
    Bruzz

Implants and dentures replace missing teeth so involve no destruction of any remaining teeth in general, I am not exactly sure what you are asking???? More info please.

    Hi there
implants would usually be the best option for missing teeth. Dentures or implants do not require the drilling of adjacent teeth but over time dentures have been shown to damage the health of the gums.

It would really depend on how many teeth are missing: if it is just 1 or 2 teeth then implants would be best. If all teeth are gone you could just have a denture but that can loose for some people. 2 or 3 implants can help support and stabilise a denture, especially a lower denture. If there are several missing teeth then you may need both denture and implants.

Talk with your dentist about the best options

i have dentures for my front three top teeth for the past 8 years nearly.
unless you clean them after every meal and morning and night, bits of food can get stuck between the dentures and healthy teeth and bacteria can build up causing decay.
i was at the dentist yesterday for the first time in ages and need some fillings as a result of this decay.
she did advise that implants would be better for my overall oral hygene.
but would cost over 7g for my 3 in the front. only thing then is, what happens when you get older and may need more teeth out, more expensive implants?
also dentures can cause a fungal infection on your bridge, apparently according to the internet is is common and most people dont have any pain or notice its there.

thats my 2 cents on it anyway, im happy with the dentures at the moment, i can smile for photots and laugh without having to be embarrased, they never accidently fall out, well once when i was drunk and sneezed.

as with what day dreamer said, best to discuss with your dentist as they can advise you of the best option and pro's and cons so you can make an informed decision
