I've been booted out of a few games recently , the PS3 is telling me its "out of memory" . I've deleted all the saved games I used to have on it , so theres literally nothing taking up space

Does anyone know what might be the problem or where you check how much memory is being used ?

Try deleting the data, not just the saved games. Saved games take up very little space in comparison.

It'll erase everything on the hard drive. Back up all your data first...just in case

If you go to "Settings" and System Information it will tell you how much space you have left !
Delete Home if you have it installed

Is it Modern Warfare 2 you're experiencing this on (had it myself just after the last update)? I dont think the error means out of memory as in hard drive space but memory as in RAM if you have a look through the some of the PS3 forums on the net you will see that some other people have experience this and it seems to be some sort of memory leak from poor coding.
