Neil Jordan was in the IFC having a beer the night Beck played Dublin Castle years ago. On his way out I asked him, are you Neil Jordan?....not only did he say yes, he bought me and my mate a pint, one for himself, and sat down with us to watch and laugh at the Eurovision song contest. I'll not say a bad word about that lad!!Great craic he is!!Not seen him since though.

I watched the whole interview with him lastnight. He seemed a very gentle and kind and interesting person to me! Wasn't trying to pitch his film or grab attention, just generally chatting about why he wrote it, but more about his grandkids and about how depressing his other films are.

Farrell was tolerable too. Nice listening to him talk so proudly about his children.

I'll go to see it because it was filmed in Cork, the trailer looks nice but I'm not expecting anything amazing. The soundtrack sounds promising though. Good interview lastnight.
