Anyhow apparently Elton Jon is tired of being famous claiming it attracts lunatics:

In the interview, the singer also said he did not like being a celebrity any more because "fame attracts lunatics".
"Princess Diana, Gianni Versace, John Lennon, Michael Jackson, all dead. Two of them shot outside their houses. None of this would have happened if they hadn't been famous. I never had a bodyguard, ever, until Gianni died," he said.

Ok I guess thats an understandable sentiment. Though one wonders why one would be giving interviews in this case. You know, it seems like an even less logical thing to do would be to make an outlandish statement thats bound to rile up the masses and more particularly the more religious fringe of lunatics. I don't know, what could you possibly say that would be least likely to bring more attention your way. How about something like this:

Sir Elton John says Jesus was super-intelligent gay man

I mean thats not going to get anyones back up is it ??:rolleyes: Especially not the religious lunatics...no no they won't react to that:rolleyes:

Just to be sure to bring attention to himself he should have said Jesus was a gay woman and oh..... black. I'm sure that would have gotten more on the nerves of the Christian groups.

The same Elton John who because of lack of success and before he had his first major success with Your Song attempted suicide by putting his head in a gas oven ,only saved in the nick of time ( supposedly ) by the arrival of Berni Taupin .So he gets to the end of the line of fame and success to state what most people know ie, there is a downside to success
