Rachel Ray, Grrrr....

Just saw Rachel Ray making a Cobb Pasta on her programme today. This involves lots of pasta, bacon, olive oil, chicken, cream, avocado as well as her usual ingredients.

And she announces that it is "Very figure friendly, as there is almost no meat in it."

Haha! And why does she always use those HUGE casserole dishes? Is she feeding an army?

Well, I think she is making family size meals. But I do get a big gobsmacked when she mentions things like "Allow a pound of meat for every two people" And this is always for a meal with a ton of carbs as well.

I've noticed that for american recipes in general. I always have to half or quarter the contents as I don't own pots (or an oven) that big. here was a recipe for beef bourguignon that involved 4lb of beef for four people I mean really..:D

Actually I think you might be right! I noticed her legs are way way skinnier in that shot than in another one from the same shoot here;

I have a friend who refers to Rachel Ray as her "dinner hooker," because the recipes are quick, easy and not always good for ones health.

In all fairness, though, she usually dresses more modestly on the show.

The show is almost always on at my gym. I find the image of people pounding the treadmills while watching Rachel slather her dishes in cheese kind of funny.

Thank god there is no sound. She has an extremely annoying voice/accent!
