Delivery charge for new car - is this too high?

I've been quoted an €800 delivery charge for a new car. I'm looking at buying it under the scrappage scheme, so I'm wondering if the garage might be upping the delivery charge cost to cover the extra discount offered on top of the standard €1500. Is €800 high for delivery of a €10,000 car?

The €1500 discount is from the VRT... so it's the government giving the discount - not the dealer. That's my understanding of it anyway.

From a quick search - http://boards.ie/vbulletin/search.php?searchid=10680566 - It seems to be a bit on the high side. Few threads suggesting €600 is about normal.

The car's a Hyundai, and they're adding an extra €2000 to the €1500. That's why I thought they might be trying to claw some of it back through the delivery charge.

Phone another dealer elsewhere and ask im looking at getting x how much is a delivery charge.....
