OMG! Jesus was gay!

According to Elton John (AP) Jesus was gay! Though with the long hair, flowing robes, impeccable grooming & preference for working with wood, this may not have been news to some and if this was widely known within the church, but suppressed, that would explain a lot IMO.

So, what I'm wondering is; which gay celebrity that we all know was Jesus most like?

    Would it be:

    (a) Rupert Everett (My best friend's wedding)
    (b) John Inman (Are you being served)
    (c) Boy George (Culture Club)
    (d) Matt Lucas (Daffyd/Little Britain)
    (e) Graham Norton (Father Ted)
    (f) Freddie Murcury (Queen)

    Can't decide myself. Any thoughts?

I'm glad you asked that question Samf. If Elton John is correct and as he's a celebrity of long standing, he must be, then the theological implications are huge. What better place to explore, what could be a radical new chapter in the Christian faith than within UCC, an eminent seat of learning containing the brightest and best minds of our generation. The repercussions of this revelation are so far reaching, I believe this issue requires our best brains and therefore this is exactly where this issue should be.

Max001, are you by any chance in the Athiest society?

Sounds like something that that bunch of parasites might try and force down everyones else's throat.

Speaking of the Athiest society, what is their propose? Do they just sit around and bitch about religion and Elton John? I really don't see the point of it as a society.

Ouch! Er, nope, am not a member of that society, nor have I knowingly consorted with any such member.

I'm more of a spiritual agnostic TBH, merely seeking the truth.

What a wonderfully representative sample of gay men :)

    This thread puzzles me.

The more we go to our limits, the more our limits will grow.

Hey people - don't shoot the messenger!

Its Sir Elton John who hath spoken, whence he sayeth, 'Yey, my fans, I'm gay, therefore I sayeth ipso facto, Jesus was also gay'.

Oh & btw, I forgot to add Tom Cruise to the list above......just in case y'all weren't freaked out enough! :D

I recall them "organising" a "blasphemy week".

Going by that, I'm going to assume that the Atheist society is made up of those tossers who got tired of graffiti and playing runaway knock on pensioners.

    Nice try.
There's AH, a Celeb & Showbiz forum, an LGB forum and a Christianity forum. They would all have been more appropriate.

Incidentally, it is being discussed in AH:
