Just wondering if anyone out there has any info on Gaelscoil Oisin that's suppose to be in the Dublin 12 area? I've been calling the mobile number & emailing for the past year & nobody's gotten back to me! All I can find online is that they were suppose to open in Sept 2009 which obviously didn't happen!

Also can anyone reccommend a good primary school in the Dublin 12 or 6W area, Irish or otherwise? I have my daughter enrolled in Scoil Mologa, Scoil Bride & Lios Na nOg since she was born & she's still not guarented a place! And to be honest I'm sick of hanging on to a maybe! Tearing my hair out at how insane the waiting list system is!

best bet would be to contact Gaelscoileanna

There is a change now, which means it's much harder to open a school.

We are in the same place you were in last year, just wondering how it worked out and if you have any tips.

Hi all, just thought I would alert you all who did not get accepted into an Irish primary school that there is a new Gaelscoil opening in Firhouse, Dulbin (Gaelscoil nua i dTeach na Giuise) this September 2013. There are still places available!! There are no restrictions on postal code and sending your child to a naionra as of yet, which is great for anyone living in the surrounding areas such as the like of Dublin 12 etc which have not had the luck of having a gaelscoil built in there area.
I was at the meeting the other night and the children will start off being taught in a prefab and a brand new state of the arts building will be built to move in by 2016.
If anyone is interested you need to contact An ForasPatrunachta @ 01 6294110. And do not be afraid to ring them if you do not speak Irish/Geailge you just need a passion to bring your child up speaking it
