well 9 weeks with 8 qualifiers and a final. €10 per head, winner qualifies for the final and runner up gets a free chance again the following week.

Money in + 20% = money out, $100 euro for the overall highest checkout (currently at a mere 117), looking at around €2000 grand overall give or take I'd say. with around €800 first prize.

Week 1 was played last night. Terry McNulty bt Jason Helly (both Mayo) 5-4 in a very high quality final with only 1 of the 9 legs passing 18 darts.

In the semi's Terry beat fellow Mayo county player Martin Devers 3-1 and Jason beat local player Noel McDonagh 3-2. Beaten quaterfinalists were Ollie Monaghan, Padraig Devers, Paul Maughan (all Mayo) and Jason Ryan (Longford).

In the semi's Martin beat Colin Wallis (Ballina 3-0) and Jason beat JJ Ormsby (Castlebar) 3-1.

Jason Ryan took the highest checkout with a 120 to win his semi.
