need advice on launching a new product

    Hi all,

    Ive recently designed a product that as far as my research tells me is not on the market yet in a large commerial scale. I can not patent the product but I can patent the design and use copyright and trademark on the Identity. Im finalising my last prototype at the moment with a view to product testing and finailising corporate identity etc.

    What Im looking for is advice on anyone else who has taken a product to market. This particular product has worldwide appeal and with be a buzz word in a matter of years Im convinced of it. Its a simple product that nearly everyone would use from yooung to old.

    Im very nervous that I could bring this to market and in theory they others with more money and power could steal it and make a fortune. The other thing I want to do it produce the product in Ireland to give jobs to my local area. Id make a lot more money making the product abroad but I think its important we support our own.

    Has anyone any advice or have a similar story with success or failure, would love your insight...
