    Any advice would be appreciated.

Tried to book Disney Paris but the prices were crazy (2,400 for 3/4 nights) we would love to go here but the price doen't justify the duration.

Any tips on cheap (but nice) sun holiday - our main problem is there's 5 of us and most companies only quote 2 + 2. We're not married to dates or times.

    Thanx

    I recommend a camping holiday.
We're in the same situation since our youngest turned 3 last year and she is no longer entitled to travel free.
We booked a 2-bedroom mobile home with decking at a campsite in Biarritz, France - which was small but just adequate for our needs. The campsite has a swimming pool with slides and a huge playground - great for the kids. There is a shop onsite which is expensive, but there's a cheap supermarket just 5 minutes drive away which has everything you need. It is near the beach. We booked our flights with Ryanair and hired a car.
    This is what we paid:
Mobile home - €700 for the week
    Car hire - €300
    Flights - €1200
Total - €2200 (the average for any package holiday we could get for 2+3 was €3500).

Alot of travel providers do 2 bedroom apartments which are suitable for u to 6 people.

Have a look at booking things seperately (make sure you have travel insurance if you do this). Try some hotel websites like hotels.com or 1800hotels.ie (I got an email from the latter yesterday saying they have 15% off canary island hotels) and then book the flights seperately (edreams.com are good for gran canaria).

Any time of the year is good to go to the canaries weather wise so look into this. Then from April on you can be almost guaranteed good weather in mainland spain/portugal and aerlingus/ryanair fly here.

Just had a quick look at Ryanair there.
the 5 of you could fly to Malaga the last week in April for €800 and have a look at alpharooms.com, you can get a 2 bed apartment in Benalmadena for circa €400

Camping would be a great holiday also. I have a mobile home in wexford and love it. It's definitely worth thinking about. The kids would probably have a brilliant time. You could even think about taking your own car on the boat from Rosslare to make it even cheaper.

Dont underestimate the power of some holiday owner advertising in your local supermarket. Look at the ads. Ring the owner and you will see whats on offer. Ask the right questions:- Price, Location, number bedrroms, availability of swimming pool, etc etc. Dont forget transfers.

Then do your homework. Flights, transfers etc. I would think that you will get a holiday for 5 people for under €1600 incl car hire.
