What is the difference in dealing with China over India or Taiwan?
I know it will depend on the type of product being sourced.
From peoples experience of dealing in these countries which they feel is best!

    Thanks

    Hi Lucky Dub,

Of the three countries you listed, Taiwan is probably (still) the most advanced economy, with China catching up fast.

It really depends on the commodity you are looking at. Certain commodities from China carry anti-dumping duties (especially some steel products), Taiwan is only a regular duty regime, whereas India is subject to the General System of Preferences, which means that provided the shipment is accompanied by a GSP form A, you qualify for a reduced or perhaps even zero rate of duty.

If you would like me to check this out for you, drop me a PM with the details of the product you are looking at and I will confirm the tariff classification and rate(s) of duty that would apply from the various countries.

    Best regards,
    Rudolf289

Taiwan -based on many visits there (high value electronics sector)

Why ? Their approach, understanding to doing business is very in line with western models. Despite the old copycat ways there is an energetic 'can do' attitude and there is a good degree of professionalism AND experience in doing business with the west.
