Awesome cars! Always wanted one myself, but ended up with a 1.9 205 GTi My dad put me off the R5 cos it had a turbo, more things to go pop when you boot it!
I wonder if you got an '85 GT Turbo would it still be cheap to tax/insure under a classic car

Mine's a 1.4 model, non turbo of course, 60 bhp, which trust me, is plenty :-)
