Hi there,

Im getting SKY + HD next week and want to set up the magic eye to link up to a second tv in the house,

Just wondering will a SKY + remote be able to control the Sky + HD box or are they not compatible?

Would a Harmony one remote do?

The old Sky+ remote should control your HD box with no problem. Last September I did exactly the same as you did, and I kept the remote off the old white Sky+ box. Tried it on the new HD box and it worked perfectly. It's handy to have the second RC (saves toting the one handset from sitting room to bedroom and back again).

Yes but you will need to snip of the connector of one end and put on an ordinary co-ax type end instead. The f-type shown wont connect into the magic eye.

Also ensure that if you are going through a wall plate that it will allow the DC power through to the eye.

You will also need to turn on the power on the rf2 OUTLET IN YOUR SKY BOX.

To do that you'll need to go into services, press 4 then o then 1 then toggle the power to on. See link below
