heater wire??

    its a 01 seat inca van, and the last week or so the heater wire comes on and flashes for 2 mins or so and then goes off for a hour or so, i think its heater plugs but dont want to spend €15 a plug and it not the problem so does any one no the problem off hand??? ( all the brake lights are working)

    It might not be the heater plugs. That light serves as a fault light so can indicate a variety of faults. Best to get it connected to a diagnostic tool to identify the fault.

    does it cold start without a problem?

    You can check the heater plugs before you buy new ones!

    The heater plug light doubles as an engine management light on those vans and the door contact switch on the drivers door can also cause this light to come on.
