This idea that wholewheat pasta is better for you is a load of bo**ocks! Have been on a portion controlled diet for last 2 months, Have lost over 16 pounds :) Weigh myself every morning. Always have pasta and stir in for dinner the day that I am playing indoor football. Have noticed a very common trend. I lose more weight the nights that I have normal pasta than the nights I have horrible brown pasta.
Why go for brown Pasta over white pasta when white tastes better and you lose weight quicker on white than brown??!

wholewheat pasta has more B vitamins, lots of fibre and other benefit. it is similar calories white pasta so no issue there. your weight changes over night will be down to water loss and several other factors, unless your scales goes down to grammes. oh, and your talking a load of bollix

Why the personal attack??! Christ above ye are so touchy on this forum its unbelievable!
I genuinely lose more weight the weeks i have normal pasta, but that doesnt tie in with your perfect food heaven idea so you have a go at me!!
I may have said a perception was a load of bollix but i certainly didnt just dismiss anyone who disagrees with me as talking a load of bollix
I have viewed this forum many times and you in particular come across as very hostile and angry

you lose more fat or weight? I didnt mean a perosnal attack BTW, but you are suggesting that given the same quantities of wholewheat vs non wholewheat pasta you would lose more weight with NON whole wheat, sorry but not true. the fibre content would mean less digestable carbs. the reason i said you were talking a load of bolix had nothing to do with pasta BTW - more the fact that you think what you have for dinner the night before would have an effect on anything other than water weight
