I shall be heading for Dunkirk for the first time and am hoping someone can tell me of a safe place to park when getting off the ferry. I shall be heading towards Brugge and Gent so should be glad to hear of any suggestions or even places to avoid. Thanks guys.

I assume you are using Norfolk Line ferry to Dunkirk. When you come off the ferry head out of the terminal and then do a u turn and go to Norfolk line Offices you will find plenty of parking there with no problems. I have often used it. There is an Aires de Services at Brugge it costs around 15 euro a night it is well signposted just off the ring road

I am planning on going to france via landbridge this year, rosslaire-pembroke , dover-dunkirk. What is your experience of this route and what sort of timing should be allowed to get from pembroke to dover ? Any advice on routes to the south from dunkirk ?

    thanks

    Corkbuyo,
If you leave Rosslare on the morning sailing it arrives Fishguard around 13.30 hrs and you can book a sailing to France for 23.00 hrs. this will give you plenty of time to reach Dover
