As per tittle. Could someone recommend to me a free intranter wizard, I have downloaded a couple only to find that they are way too complicated and not exactly wizards. I am not a complete novice but do not want something akin to Dremweaver. Any suggestions please?

Does your server run windows? Micrsoft exchange has an intranet type system built into it thats handy enough to use.. if my mind serves me correctly.

A trial would be a good place to start, if it works to what you need you could purchase it then.

I'm using a wiki based intranet.... well worth looking into unless you want to spend most of your time updating information on other people's behalf.

There's a few out there. I'm using TWiki from http://www.twiki.org/ but will soon moved to foswiki which was branched from Twiki. http://www.foswiki.org/

    Joomla, DotNetNuke IMO

    free and quite straight forward.

the only thing is you'll have to template it youself so youll need a bit of html & CSS expreience.

If you're looking for something a bit more professional you could either contract someone in to build you a custom intranet (depending on requirements circa 5-10k)

or you could buy something like microsoft sharepoint (with reference to one of the above posts, interacts with exchange) or maybe use windows sharepoint services (i think its free with windows server 2008 r2)
