straps for deadlift

    do people on here recommend using straps when deadlifting. my problem is no in my legs when deadlifting and feel i could go up in weights except for my grip keeps slipping. wat do people think of straps??

    Choices are Straps, Chalk or Liquid Chalk. I prefer Liquid Chalk when deadlifting. I use straps when shrugging.

    Your flexor carpi radialis and ulnaris and finger flexor muscles are weak.
    Work on them more and you won't need straps.

    Are you using an alternate grip and chalk? If not look into these before straps.

    i was looking around for ways to increase grip strength and on the diesel crew website there an article reccomending doing double over hand deadlifts

    Using straps isn't as big a sin as say, not squatting below parallel and if you don't plan on competing in a powerlifting competition than using straps on your last sets isn't really a big deal. After all, if it's okay for people to use belts then why not straps?
