Possibly noobish sync question

    Ok, I'm under a bit of time pressure on this one. My friend is going into hospital on Wednesday and he'll be in for quite some time. He has an iphone so I said I'd convert a bunch of videos and transfer them over to his phone.

    So all the videos are converted. The problem is that I can't copy them over (he gave me his phone for the night). Any attempt to do so gives me an error which says:

    "An iPhone can only be sync'd with one iTunes library at a time" blah blah blah.

    I just want to stick some videos on the guys phone. A little help anyone?

    this is kinda blind leading the blind as i just got an ipod touch over the weekend!

    Click on your mates iphone in itunes, on the summary page there is an option manually manage videos and music. Now without syncing the ipod to your computer you should be able to literally just drag videos that are added to itunes onto the phone (drag it to the name ie "bobs iphone")

    your phone is setup with that itunes and it won't let his phone be setup too under same user account.

    Setup a new user account on your PC and use it, it'll work fine

    or set them up as playlists, or make a new library file. All methods in above link.

    Playlists is probably the easiest.

    Ok, I had tried adding the new user earlier and I can add files to the library on the computer, but it still wont let me copy those files over to the iphone without the "sync and erase" pain in the bum option coming up.

    Tried the new library file in that link. Again I can add files to the library on the windows iTunes but not sync them over.

    is is jailbroken if so download VLC4iphone and pop the vids into /var/mobile/Media
    no need to convert either !

    ah ok, so you want to add files without erasing what he already has on there? Thats a bit trickier. There a quite a few how tos on the web. eg

    Search for 'sync iphone with multiple Pcs' or similar.
