I don't know if there is one but I was thinking it would be a good idea for any proper (I defo don't fall under that) programmers!!!!

I think some app was mentioned in the WW thread, might be just a point calculator. Be careful of the US/UK point thing.

There's an app called iWatchr. It's 79c in the app store. It lets you calculate points given the calories and sat fat and you can select 'European' to get the right points for over here.

Here's a page with some reviews and screen shots from the app.

I haven't used it to actually track points day to day, but you do have that option. I do use it in the supermarket to calculate the points in foods, so it's handy for that I think.

iWatchr is okay but their points finder tool has its limitations, it doesn't give you half values for points...

eg, I bought a pack of those Discovery Multiseed wraps. When I checked in the supermarket on my iphone on the iwatchr thing, it said there were 3 points per wrap. However, my WW points finder in my blue binder told me 2.5 points. It tells me pink n whites are 1 point when they're 0.5 etc....

For that reason alone I'm not using my iWatchr app anymore, I don't want to be miscalculating points and then having bad results!

    Hi

I use the iwatcher and find it brilliant for logging points. You always have your phone with you so you can log as you go....and its a bit more discreet than a paper tracker.

RE the half points - if you go to settings and switch the 'use decimals' on - then it will then log half points.

I use it and save my favourites as I go (it would be great if it did have a log of all the ww points) but you can soon build it up

You can also log your water, fruit & veg, exercise etc for the day

    Cant recommend this enough.

I find it great too! I might double check a couple of things to be sure about the values though, because I point everything on it!!!

    Weird! I wonder why?

I think WW have very little respect fir their Irish customers in general. I bout the eating and shopping guides, and they're next to useless. But I still had to fork out the best part of 20 sheets.

Admittedly, I didn't have to get them, but I thought they'd be useful. However, I would say that if one third of the food in the shopping guide is available in Ireland it's as much, and out of 68 resturants in the eating out guide, only 18 operate in Ireland.

We don't get a proportionate reduction in price though.

I use iSkinny which is great, doesn't have the mistakes in points that are in iWatchr, which I used to use. Used to drive me mad! The update for propoints is due in next few days according to the guy who makes it. I've used it for well over a year and have to say it makes it all a lot easier! There are so many of them out there, its hard to find them as well because apparently WW block people from using their name in search terms. Try out iSkinny and see what you think, or do a general 'weight' type search

    Hi all

just wanted to share a tip which made my life much easier as a user of WW online (used a makey-uppy UK address but my own payment details). Been anxiously waiting for the app as use my iPhone to track and been seriously hindered since PP came in. can't understand why there is no app on the Irish store, no reply to an email to WW to enquire.

But... if you go onto the UK iTunes store, click on the free WW app, then create a new "fake" UK account (makeuppy address etc) selecting the radio button "none" for payment option... it allows you download the app! And its fab... so good i had to share!

Just remember to click on the free app first, or you'll need to provide payment details with a UK address.

I know this a bit-een dodge but sure it can't be breaking any laws, to my knowledge... It is so unfair that WW treat their Irish customers as second-class citizens. Enjoy!

    Hi

I joined WW yesterday and really want to download the app. As mentioned already it is in the UK store but not Irish!

I have changed my address but the last page is credit card details - there used to be an option to select 'none' but this is not possible now - can anyone help??!

    Thanks

    S

Unless you joined WW online which as far as I know is only available to people living in the UK then the app is of no use to you. After you open it it looks for a login for WW online Uk and you need that to use the calculator. If you have no login you only get access to a few tired recipes that they have on their website anyway. You aren't missing much in other words!:)

This IS weight Watchers after all. A business focused on making you pay for everything isn't going to suddenly let you off the hook and give you a free app to use a calculator that they normally charge twenty euro for.
