If you're just looking to look at some nice bikes, Cyclelogical near the Halfpenny bridge on the north quays has some nice kit in there. Their customer service has a poor enough reputation so if you're trying to buy something small, you might not have the best time there.

Cycleways on Parnell St would be my first choice, then Cycleogical.

If you're out west, Cycle Superstore has the nicest ambience and combines decent service with some bling bikes.

There's a new shop in Sandymount called 2wheels (stocking Trek and Giant)where they are quite helpful and friendly.

You could easily spend an hour or two Square wheel. Its easy to find and they have racks full of the lastest top-end Carbon Fibre racing machines.

Another list, this time for Dublin only (linked from the Dublin Cycling Campaign website). I noticed one or two shops missing from the link posted by abcdggs, including the aforementioned 2Wheels in Sandymount.

I've clocked up quite a few hours in there over the years, but the only carbon I saw was bike oil, the only fibre I saw was brown bread. :)

(@OP- Square Wheel is really a repair place. They sell a few second hand bikes, but I don't think it's what you're after.)

Temple Lane South in Temple Bar. (See the map at the link I posted above.) If you stand at the east end of Curved Street facing City Discs, it's a couple of doors closer to Dame Street on the same side as City Discs. Just a timber double-door with a ramp down into the basement. If you're looking for good quality repairs, hard-to-find old parts, or just a knowledgeable chat, Kieran's your man. If you're looking for carbon fibre, Cycleways, Cyclelogical, etc. would be your best bet.

This is very true, I was only messing about the carbon fibre, but its worth sticking your head in the door for a look. Sound man who has had a few bits and pieces I needed on occasion.

I've heard nothing but good reports. And the shop is worth a look even if you're not spending- they have a little bike lane leading from the street into the courtyard! :)

I've never been myself (in case it seems like I'm promoting it), even though it's my local shop.
