hi folks . a mate of mine is heading to the usa and has offered me his sante 2004 fe diesel 63k for 5800 euro. i dont want to keep the car but he says i could sell it for a profit, he is the only owner and i would not register it in my name. They seem to be going for at least 2000 more on Carzone. what do yu think , could i make an easy grand or two
    thanks

I wouldn't buy any car I wouldn't be happy to drive myself in these market conditions.

Steer clear. You could end up stuck with it. Just because people price it more on Carzone, doesn't mean they're getting those prices.

Seems like more hassle than it's worth.

Your essentially being asked my a "friend" to take a chance, risking a few grand. I'd offer him €3000 for it.

Why not tell him you'll sell it for him, and send him on the money minus a 10% commission? It's win/win. If you sell it for the Carzone price, he ends up getting more money for it. But either way you get a commission for selling it, and you take no risk.
If he's legit, he has no logical reason to refuse that situation.
