How do clubs manage during the leaner part of the year
when income is slow and the bank manager comes calling.
Do clubs have difficulty with overdraft and has it gotten
    more stringent?

I'm sure they just bank the annual subs and these will pay for a large part of the yearly costs............
No more than any other business they would have to save money earned during busy periods to see them through the leaner times.

Clubs budget for this, it happens every year so its not like its a new event for them. Money comes in in waves, (hopefully!) lots during the summer and far less during winter, for a variety of reasons.

With the fall off/delay in getting subs in are clubs
availing of overdraft or are the banks being difficult.
I know some clubs at the end of last year who put
an extra charge on members to balance the books.
