3.3V out of threshold

I have an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard installed in my computer for which the Asus Pc Probe software is repeatedly reporting the +3.3V as being out of threshold. The threshold is 10% by default although it can be changed. From the pc probe software it appears that the +3.3V in my computer is normally at 2.976 V (within 10%) dropping to 2.96 setting off the alarm. There is no noticeable change in performance when the voltage drops so is this something I should be concerned about?

Yes you should be concerned. 2.96 is outside of Atx specification and at least may cause instability and at worst can damage components. Download another program such as "everest" which will give you a second opinion on the 3.3v output from your PSU. This is typically caused by a poor quality PSU and it is likely that if the 3.3v is out of spec then the 5v and 12v will also likely be close to out of spec especially when under load.
    What PSU are you using?
