Casio Calculator Q

    Hi all,

    Just a very quick question about solving an equation with an exponent with a calculator.

    If I have say 2^x = 32

    What is the calculator sequence that will give me what X is?

    The example above is simple enough but I'd like to be able to do these on more complicated questions.

    [latex]\displaystyle \frac{log(32)}{log(2)}[/latex] will give you x.

    In general for [latex]a^x = b[/latex], you can use [latex]\displaystyle x = \frac{log(b)}{log(a)}[/latex]

    Say if the question was 4^X = 262144, Find X.

    Is there a button on the calculator that calculates this for me, so that it gives me the answer which is 9 in this case?
