I wouldn't think so. Perhaps they copied the DirecTV EPG

News Corp do have a 34% stake in them afterall.

Theres only so many logical ways one can layout an EPG. Its like saying did Microsoft copy Apple because both use a mouse to point at icons on screen......OK Bad example :D:D

They're bound to be laid out similar. I don't think UPC have the colour Blue copyrighted

NDS is the name of the company that make the software and they supply EPG's to many different satellite broadcasters around the world. http://www.nds.com/solutions/epgs.php

They don't have the new HD resolution Sky EPG on there, but I do remember seeing a PDF document showing the HD res Foxtel one in Australia and the HD res DirecTV one in the USA and apart from a few subtle icon and layout differences, they were the same really, which is no surprise, it's just code with some tweaks for different companies/territories.

Actually, look at the black EPG at the bottom of Page 2 on this PDF document... apart from the colour, it looks oddly familiar! - http://www.nds.com/pdfs/NDS_EPGs-UI_Services_datasheet.pdf
