Unlock 3.1.3?

Hi all,

Unlocked my friends iPhone recently ..running 3.1.2, but they stupidly upgraded to 3.1.3

Is there any way of unlocking this yet?

Nope, Dun Dun Dun.

If they had SHSH's stored on Cydia they might be able to downgrade again.

Can you not do a restore to 3.1.2?

Download the 3.1.2 firmware and while in recovery mode on your phone, plug it into your PC. Itunes will open up. Hold Shift and hit the Recover button and choose the 3.1.2 fw you downloaded to restore to it.

Try it. it won't work. That was the purpose of the 3.1.3 update...to prevent people from doing this again.

justindublin, im in the same boat but was lucky enough to save my shsh with cydia. so is it just a matter of changing where itunes looks when it tries to downgrade and point it to the signed cydia shsh instead so i wont get an error message. ive been doing a bit of reading on it but christ theres so much info out there my head hurts.

any advice would be greatly appreciated

ya you cant downgrade unless you backed up your shsh with cydia,

anyone that upgrades a jailbroken device deserves a kick in teh hole anyhow !!

bobby believe me i had very little choice. i was almost in tears yesterday hittin the restore button. went to make a call yesterday and signal just went on my phone, put it into flight mode and it just froze up on me. went to restart it but nothing happened.

even tried selecting my existing firmware version but i kept getting an error message. so only option i had was to restore it to 3.1.3. my iphone feels naked at the moment.

ill keep ye posted as to how i get on tomorrow with the downgrade. say a prayer ha ha

iTunes will say 'Eh no!' unless ya had SHSH backed up and even with that it'll take ya a bit of editing to get it to work.
