Just after watching this game on ITV1 HD. Generally the picture quality was good but I noticed for some close-ups the background picture was blurred. Anyone else notice this? Why is this happening?

(Watched the rugby on BBC HD yesterday with no problems - ditto with matches on Sky Sports during the week.)

Watching the Palace V Villa game on ITV1 HD now. No picture problem with this game so must have just been with the Bolton V Spurs game.

Depends what you mean by blurred really. Could be nothing more than camera shots with a very tight focus.

It seemed to happen more when someone was taking a shot on goal. The picture for that moment would be OK but straight afterwards the camera showed a close-up of the player in question. The player would be moving. His image at the forefront of picture was fine but in the background the picture of spectators or advertising would be partially blurred or more like breaking up. This would happen during a close-up of the player moving in a particular direction.

I thought it was a general problem with ITV1 HD but the next game they showed didn't have this problem.
