Why is it that at the end of multilane sections where one lane must merge into the one of the other lanes, that sometimes it's the overtaking lane that merges into the driving lane (imho the correct method), but sometimes the driving lane merges into the overtaking lane like on the new M50 northbound to port tunnel…

No wonder lane dicipline is so bad if the road markings are giving mixed mesages.
