UPC Remote Control Problems

Hi, I recently got a Digital + box installed. Problem is that the remote control registers the volume as at half when the tv is completely quiet. Thus I can only turn the tv up a bit before the rc says it is at max and won't turn it up any more.

With the last rc I had the graphic for volume was the same one as the one I get when using the tv's original rc. The new rc has a volume graphic of it's own. Not sure if that makes sense or is of any use.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking. Go to http://www.upc.ie/customersupport/manuals/ and select your box, you should be able to find a code of the UPC remote so it can change your TV volume instead of the boxes volume.

Thanks for that, exactly what I needed.

So, have tried all the codes in the pdf and others found online. The problem is still the same. The tv volume can be controlled though if I press the TV button on the remote, should it be this way?

With the previous rc I didn't need to switch between the UPC and TV mode in order to change the TV volume.

No, you should be able to set it. I have mine done that way.

Yeah, reckoned I should have been able, balls, the search for codes continues
