Dr. Orla Batt in Ballinlough. I'm a fella so I can't say what she's like with female issues but she's very thorough and has no problems sending samples off to a lab for testing. Might even say that she's a bit too keen in doing so but if you're given to worry it might put your mind at ease to know that your condition is having a comprehensive analysis.

highly recommend her. A doctor with common sense as well as everything else. Hard to get an appointment with her,may take a few days.

    Hi,

Sorry that I'm reviving a dead thread but I have the exact same query except I need a female doctor that will accept medical cards. I rang Mary Murphy's office and they said they didn't and Washington Medical Centre said that they're not taking on any more patients. Could anyone tell me if Ina Corbett accepts medical cards? The HSE website is so badly laid out and they don't have a list of GPs in Cork South Lee up. :(

Hey, just wondering if you had any luck finding a doctor as I also have the exact same query! I'm planning on dropping into Ina Corbett on Monday anyway but it'd save me the trip if you knew if she takes medical cards. Cheers.

Have visited Jane O'Callaghan in Douglas (also in Blackrock). Really trust her. Maybe too far from centre for you?

Forgot I had posted in this until it popped up on my Control Panel there. I went to and continue to go to Dr. Ina Corbett. I find her incredibly helpful and she does accept medical cards.

Sorry to resurrect this long dead post but does any one know if the doctor mentioned above (Mary Murphy) is still practicing? I'm not a medical card holder but all the doctor's surgeries I've rang aren't taking new patients! So frustrating!
