Sound Card for HTPC

Hi All,

Can any of you recommend a good quality sound card with both Coaxial and optical digital out's for a HTPC. The one I have in at the moment only has a 3.5mm out. Prefereably one that won't break the bank(not that they are broken already)

Don't think tyou'll get a sound card with coaxial cable out.

I've seen sound cards with coaxial/RCA out:

but they are very expensive. I want to connect to the attached amp as I have all other digital connections full.

plenty of older soundblaster cards do coax out
the audigy 2 series certainly did.
if you have one lying around you could check it out.
you will need a mono (very important) 3.5mm to coax plug

That Amp you have is an AV receiver (as you probably know!), hence I'm wondering - why not just get a graphics card that can deal with audio too and just use HDMI to connect your PC? What type graphics card do you have? Most can decode Dolby True HD.

Hadn't actually thought of that. Can you recommend any good graphic cards? Preferably without a fan as the current one is extremely quiet and I don't want to upgrade to a noisey one!
