Join UPC and Realy Getting Pissed

    I join UPC, and got it installed on 28.1.10

    on the 24.1.10 i rang up asking them about Phone and BB they gave me a price of 45 euro a month. Two good to be true.. Yes indeed it was
    I told them i was with Smart Telecom and asked will i need to get in touch with them and tell them cancel my account,

    UPC told me they will look after it. that was ok. on the 26.1.10 i got a bill from Smart, thinking it was my last, tonight i now got a bill of 41.81 euro from Smart for Feb.

    Since i got my Phone in it has yet to work a fully one day it working the next its not!! I emailed UPC as they have A+ Customer Care, they never got back to me signs of a A+. Now i got a bill from UPC with a Total owed 96.38 euro,

    Internet
    15mb 10.32
    Standalone Charge 2.49
    15mb 32.00
    Standalone Charge 7.74

    Telephony
    Anytime World Pack 3.87
    Basic 1.94
    Anytime World pack 12.00
    Basic 6.00

    Total 76.38
    Inc 20 install fee and more Tax and VAT comes to a Hugh Bill of 96.38

    I emailed UPC once again, Asking them why am i still getting Smart bills and Why was my Bill 96.38 when i was told it will be 45 euro

    Since LAW!!! Lets people Cancel within the first 30 days. This is one Person who will have to WAIT till Monday and i will be Canceling my Account. First and Last time i will be with UPC.. And i though Eircom were Bad.

    Anyone else have a problem like this with UPC?

    As a matter of interest - the installation fee - it does not apply if you order on line - should you have incurred the fee ?

    It looks like your bill is for little more than a month. Remember UPC bills bi-montly.

    Lookig at your details you will be paying:
    15mb 32.00
    Standalone Charge 7.74
    Anytime World pack 12.00
    Basic 6.00
    Total: 57.74 pm -> Bimonthly around €115

    If you take out anytime world pack €12 then it will be around €45pm as told to you by customer care.

    Also if you take digital tv with them then you will not have to pay 7.75 stand alone charge.

    They may not have informed you accurately but I think they were quite near.

    UPC have nothing to do with Smart bills. They dont use telephone line. You will have to sort it out yourself they will not do anything for it but I may not be right on this one.

    I did it on the phone and I asked him to give me the best deal and he gave me 45 a month I asked them do I need to get onto smart they told me that they will do it.

    So how is my bill 96 were it should be 65 will the 20 fee

    You are billied for more than a month. UPC bills every two month.

    Not sure about Smart, I dont think they will do anything about it.

    I was not billed for 2 months. i dont even have it for 2 weeks.

    if was billed for 2months it will be 90 euro plus the 20 installing fee.

    And it would have two 15mb bb for 35 each but as i stated at the top. it does not.

    Either way since i got it in the phone has yet to work fully Whats the point in being with some company who cant even get a phone working.

    And that Standalone Crap, I have a Phone as well!!! And no one told me while on the phone to them that i be getting a 96.38 bill..

    The Fools didn't even set up my DD either.. even after i gave them my Bank Details..

    Since i dont have it in for 30 days am i in my Right to Cancel their product and move else were. with out paying a fee.

    Doesnt matter if you only have it for 2 weeks, they bill you in advance. Check your billing period in your bill.

    Highlighted in red will be for about 10 days and highlighted in green is for full month.

    Since this is your first bill, they are only adjusting the period. Next time you will get full 2 month bill and like I said before, they bill in Advance.

    Ok fare enough by why the hell am I on two phone packages ? So the fact that he told me it be 45 a month I'll be paying 90 every two months is their VAT ontop of the 45? As If their is he never told me

    The Anytime World pack is an add on which including free local, national and international landline calls to 21 destinations at all times. You could remove this and end up with €32 for the 15Mb BB, €8 standalone charge, and €6 for a phone line which would bring it to €46 a month.

    Did you send the form off to UPC to have your old number switched over once you do that they can automatically get smart to cut off there service
