have similar problem in the evenings. Do a speed test on your connection and it will probably be well down compared to what you are paying for.
Eircom are sending out someone but I know it will make no difference.

    PS. I am on 3mb

Wired will be generally 100Mbps where as the wireless will be 54Mbps.
Shouldnt really matter depending on distance from wireless router.
If its right beside your playstation then wired all the way. ! Fact

i'm having trouble with tversity on the wired connection(dlna errors)

    i think it's a settings issue

I was the same as this, on a 3mb line getting about .5mb. Rang up, a few fob-offs then some proper troubleshooting and eventually arranged for a technician to call out. wasn't expecting much but it is absolutely flying it now. getting about 2.5mb on the playstation wireless and not a bother on it

On a 7mb connection hardwired it defo shouldnt be slow. Not sure where to start but doublecheck all the settings on the ps3.

If it works perfectly on the pc/laptop, chances are the issue is somewhere with the ps3

pages are slow to load wired or wireless

dunno what settings i could check most of it's 'auto'

i just assumed browsing was meant to be slower on ps3

Could be interference from neighbouring access points on your wireless or could be a dodgey cable from your wired side.
Also depends on your provider or your router !

could be. i crimped the cable myself

ill check it with a short lead when i get a chance
