Exactly as it says on the title, as part of a b'day sale for the game.

If you haven't picked it up yet, 'tis an absolute steal at that price. A truly brave and ambitious game - a rare successful attempt at telling a story through gameplay, and one of the most relaxed gaming experiences around. Simply a game full of atmosphere, beauty and (most amazingly of all) effective motion controls. Gaming art if ever those two words belonged together, and for three euro it is an absolute bargain.

    Bargin...

I paid full price for it and would be happy to do so again. Breathtaking game that was so simple yet so elegant.

Beautiful to watch and encapsulating to play which was odd for such a bizarre game yet it had an artistic nature to it that enabled it to become such a favorite on the PSN.

First game that I enjoyed using the motion control too.

A definite 5 stars for this. You will not be disappointed

my god, i just watched this vid

I am guessing Flower + Whacky Tobaccy = Mind blown

So i picked it up for €3 last night...not played that much but it feels very natural. I really like how the in-game sounds perfectly compliment in the in-game music. Its the kind of "game" that would fit well in a modern art museum.

I think I'm the only person who doesn't fawn over Flower. It looks pretty, but it falls down completely as a game.

Nice art? Maybe. Good game? Not for me.

Still, for 3 quid, it's a nice little distraction.

€3 is a price I can get on board with. Any vid I've seen made it look like a glorified tech demo.

I got this Wednesday for 7.99 :( I was watching one of the old 1up shows and they were talking about it.....next day it drops! What are the chances. On the plus side its pretty stunning and 7.99 was even to cheap.

I paid the €3 too. Not sure if there's a game in it, though.

I think the only criticism [if thats what you want to call it] that you can honestly level at Flower is that it is not a conventional game. It is not a high-score or collecting type of game.

The enjoyment I personally got out of it, was lying down on my couch and just relaxing with it. Listening to the music and sounds, taking in the visuals... it appealed to me because it was so different to every other game on the PSN.

For anyone on the fence about this game, €3 is a steal for this. I still come back to it. Its almost like listening to an Enya album or something!

/and there goes any hope of people buying it...

    /...and my masculinity

EDIT: Looks like the price went back up. Still worth it.

There is some tricky bits later on into the game.

I don't really see it as a game to be honest.....it feels more like an interactive experience (yeah, sounds artsy fartsy, I know)

Just played it there for a few hours and it's very nice, don't really like 1 of the later stages in the game, very dark with no colour.

I enjoyed it, can't say I'll keep coming back to it though. Well worth €3, €8 is a bit of a stretch.

I like the game but can't see how anyone can call it relaxing. I usaully end up fighting with the motion controls. Still thought it was well worth it at full price.

I always thought the motion controls were extremely effective. The game is designed in such a way that you don't have to be fully accurate, and the space for picking up seeds etc... is pretty large to account for the less accurate sweeping motions. I admit it can be a bit awkward in the likes of the storm level (where a perfect run through requires a bit more precision) but for the most part I thought the motion controls were unusually competent.

It definitely isn't a traditional game, in the sense of high scores / clearly defined structure etc... but that is what gives it an edge. Games shouldn't be tied down to a more traditional structure, and Flower is a fine example of why. It isn't particularly long or anything, which is why it is perfectly suited to cheap downloadable status. 8 euro was a bargain, 3 is more so!

Thanks for the heads up OP, beautiful game! Very relaxing and very rewarding when all the flowers pop and fields turns lush green! It's so relaxing you can play it even when you are falling asleep, or fall asleep playing it! :D

I noticed my partner was struggling a bit with the direction and controller, but that's because she was turning the controller as if a car steering, which is not very good in this game. It works better when you move the sides up or down, like a Seesaw!

Had some younglings over during the week. Little fella is 7, couldn't get the hang of playing Sonic or Street fighter, slapped on the PS3 and gave him a go of flower. All of a sudden hes flying around haystacks and bring windmills to life. Theres something to be said for that! 2.99? Lads if you don't have it yet snap it up.

    Freaking great game!
So relaxing and yeah belongs in a art house, but its just great to get away from the bullets and the blood and violence for a few mins.
