    Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a Studio in or near Dublin for the following:

    Budget: 200-300
Band: Bass, Drums, Guitar x 2, Keys (mainly Strings/Synth), 4 vocals
Sound: Very like the Manchester sound. Basically Pop-Rock but with alot of energy we want to capture.
    Recording: One Song

I know the budget is pretty low but if there was a studio that would be worth the extra saving for a max of 500/day it could be stretched to. Dont really care about extra comforts like green rooms/TV etc. Also, if anyone has any experience of overnight recordings if they are cheaper (presume they are!) we would do that if it got us a better place.

Cheers guys and any other info that could help, just ask.

If you really want to capture the energy I'd recommend apstudios www.apstudios.net just outside of sandyford. Really good engineer/producer and really encourages live takes. Otherwise I'd suggest posting this on the music production board and you'll probably get some good recommendations!

Cheers, didnt think of using that board. Hoping to get K9 Studios as recorded there many times before but depends on if we can get it at the right price.

    + 1 Here

I have recorded in some fantastic studios in the past but have learned that its the studio engineer that makes all the difference.

To be honest, the guy is the best engineer I have ever worked with. Top bloke too.

He mixed /re-mixed and recorded a lot our album which is here

We will definitely be going back to him for next project.

(For the sceptics amongst you I am just a satisfied customer and have no connection with this studio)
