Heres the senario, system all set up and when you swtich on video and sound are in sync, run the system for a while and the audio starts to lag the video and eventually gets to about 5 seconds behind (after about half an hour).

Its a LIDL system augmented with a longer cable 25m from dish to box. The FTA box is then playing through a Windows MCE 2005 based computer system.

So far I've tried a couple of different LBA's and a couple of different set top boxes and the problem remains the same.

I could replace the cable but would be interested in theories why it would be a problem, given its fine for the first few minutes.

I suspect its a problem with the computer/MCE2005 but I can't see why the audio lags the video and not the other way around? You'd think the video would lag the audio as it requires more processing on both the FTA Set top box and the Computer?

It's not the dish, cable or LNBF. It's either the receiver or the PC.

Plug the receiver directly into a TV and see if the problem occurs. If it does, it's the receiver at fault. If it doesn't, it's the PC at fault.
