    Hey all

new guy here, and have a few question, i,ll be sure to have a good brouse of the forum but a few quick question as I am unsure if im getting it right

well it all started end octoberish,

I was 22 and hit 94.5 kg am 5,11 and although tubby i was not fat but well carrying a few extra pounds, quite a few

anyway it was my second time around to try loose the weight as before xams 2008 i did aboutt a 2 month stiny in the gym but over xmas hol,s lost interest/motivation found a girlfriend for a wee while and let myself go, this time around im keeping up work outs and motivation is high, ufc was inspiration for me but learning it is a problem with shift work but my real aim is to be fit and toned,

anyway without going over kill i am a 87kg for the last few months, with a combination of cardio and weights i now have without sounding cocky but i am toned in my shoulders arms chest back how ever the gut is still there, ive gone from 38" jeans (baggy think i was 37ish) to a fitting 34"

i joined a gym before xmas to keep interest up and was given a workout plan or cardio and some weight exersizes,

enough of the long story sorry ppl

cardio - 2min slow at 8kph then 13kph for 1 minute, then droping to 8 again for another 2mins, then back to 13 but incresed to 13.2 and an addition of .2 after every 2min rest period

    weights consist of shoulder exersizes/chest/arm/back
am happy with the results and have been doing the 3 stomach exersizes, ive even been doing these every 5-6 days on the trot as i REALLY want to suck in ths gut , it has gotton smaller but still is poppy ... just not happy as the rest of me is seeing great gains

    so am i eating to much ? ? ?

    since i started my training i have cut out binge eating / junk food (maybe once every 2 weeks) the odd few pints (2nights max a month) {was doing every fri/sat on the trot every weekend}

but feels as if im getting nowhere, i try to weights every second day and my cardio... well maybe im not doing it enough? doing it defo once a week saf between weight days and having to days rest sometimes only one

    my diet

i take protein shakes, i know they can bloat you but im takin a VERY low car high protein shake

would diet pills be an option?

    diet this week example

6am - slice whole wheat brown bread/jam yopleigh strawberry yoghurt, glass water

9am - 3 boiled eggs, beans, 1 sausage, waffle, 1 slice brown bread
    bananna, 2 glasses water

1pm - chicken breast, 2 slices ham, handfull cheese, 2 glasses water
    apple,

14.30pm - protein shake (before gym) water

16.00 - protein shake (after gym) water

18.00 - shepards pie, carrotts, 2 glasses water

hour before bed - protein shake

    maybe im over eating?

am unsure what weigh to go for, i dont mind my size just this belly, maybe my portions are to big and am bloaty from all the water / shakes

    sorry for the long post,

    thanks for reading

would smaller portions and more cardio be the ticket

    Alan

First off, well done on the weight loss, 7.5kg is a lot of weight

Did they not give you any leg exercises or have you an injury/impediment stopping you?

Diet isn't great, you could make far better choices at each meal, but as a starting point you need to work out your bmr (basal metabolic rate - how many cals you burn daily keeping yourself alive etc.) There's a calculation for this in the stickies, then tweak it from there.
