Sticking Door lock Volvo V50 Drivers Side

    Throwing this out as am unsure myself. I have what I hope is not a big issue with the drivers door on my V50.
    Yesterday morning and again this morning, after a hard frost, the door would not latch after I had opened it.
    I thought yesterday it might have been a once off given the temp / frost but when it happened again this morning, I got worried.
    Once the car had warmed up reasonably (20 mins or so), it then latched and locked ok but I hope this isnt the start of a bigger problem. Car is out of warranty now.
    I just wanted to see had anyone experienced this before or could someone give me some pointers as to how to go about fixing it?

    We have an S40 (from 02) and the only thing that has ever broken has been the locks.... twice. Maybe it's a weak point?
