Hi Folks. Just bought one of those sky eye tv links in argos. I plugged the cable from the rf2 output on the sky box into the female end of the eye and plugged the male end of the eye directly into the tv aerial port.

I placed the eye bit in view of the remote control..... Guess what.

It aint workin..... Any thoughts.... Help much appreciated.

Did you switch on the power to the RF outlet? Have a look at these instructions.

As mentioned above, that device is powered from your sky box and the power has to be switched on via those menus.
There is a little red power light on the top of the coax connector of the eye. This should stay lit permanently as long as you have switched on power to the RF ports and have a good connection back to the sky box. Even if the sky box is in standby.
If its not lit when connected to the end of your coax cable, try plugging the magic eye directly into the RF outputs of the sky box. You should definitely get a power light then, otherwise it may be a faulty eye.
They are very sensitive to poor coax connections too. If any of the connections between it and the sky box are any way loose it won't work, even though your tv may be receiving an ok signal.
And just to keep it interesting, I've found that ours has occasionally stopped working for no apparent reason even though its power light is on. Disconnecting the power from the sky box for a few minutes tends to clear that problem.
