    Hi folks,

Just started an ME in electronic engineering from a computer science background.

Have no exposure of signal processing or the relevant calculus and formulae.

How screwed am I? (Starting to panic)

Ah I'm sure you'll pick it up as you go along. Maybe brush up on central concepts like the fourier transform, convolution, FIR and IIR filters etc. There should be plenty of resources online for these. Using Matlab is a great way to quickly apply signal processing techniques to data and visualise the results relatively easily.
