Increased pixelation on Sky+ reciever - what is the cause?

Recently I’ve noticed a deteriorating quality on my Sky+ receiver. Main symptom is an increased amount of pixelation, especially on fades to/from black. I know you can see this behaviour on channels with low bit rates (shopping channels etc) but I’m now seeing it on the Irish channels (RTE1 & 2) and these previously had excellent quality.

The problem does seem slightly more pronounced on channels broadcasting on Astra 2D (RTE, Channel 4 etc). I also have an LG IDTV connected to the same dish and it does not appear to suffer from the same problem. Both TVs are 32” and viewing distance is roughly the same. Please see my signal strength and quality readings below. I also powered off my wireless router and DECT phones to confirm they are not interfering.

Could it be that my Sky+ receiver is poor at handling channels with lower bit rates and weaker signals?

Is there anything else I can do or test to find the cause?

    Readings:

Pace Sky+ receiver (any transponder, both feeds):
    Strength 80% - Quality 90%

LG IDTV FreeSat tuner (Astra 2A e.g. Sky News):
    Strength 80% - Quality 90%

LG IDTV FreeSat tuner (Astra 2D e.g. Channel 4):
    Strength 50% - Quality 80%

    Many thanks.
