Weather app stopped updating weather??

    I just went into the weather ap and it said update failed this was over wifi and 3G.

    Is the weather service down? If I press the little Yahoo icon in the bottom left corner it goes to the weather site fine :confused:

    What BroadBand are you on ?

    If Voda, there are problems with DNS.

    If you go into the router and change DNS to be:

    DNS 1 = 8.8.8.8
    DNA 2 = 8.8.4.4

    This should then be ok if connecting over wireless. Unfortunatley nothing can be done about the 3G aspect..

    Yeah it is Vodafone. I was wrong about the 3G:o

    Also the YouTube App wont connect either. So what's going on with the DNS why does everything else work on the phone like Safari the App Store, iTunes, email, but not the weather app or YouTube?

    Also the internet on the computer works fine, anyway I will change the DNS and see what happens.


    EDIT:OK already stumbled at the first hurdle...where do I find the DNS on the router?:o

    EDIT 2: OK found it!!

    It works great thanks again. So whats up with this DNS that I'm using now? How is it different to the Vodafone one?
