Wasn't sure if I should put this in here or Rock and metal, but if a mod feels it should be moved, work away.
I'm gonna be playing with a few of my mates for my practical, and am stuck for songs. It's my elective, so I need 6 songs. 4 will be with a female lead singer, and 2 (I'm hoping) will be instrumentals. I have one picked:

    Cover of this:

Need any and all suggestions. :)

What instrument are you playing? Obviously if its your leaving cert, you should pick songs that will show of your skills best.

I'd also keep it mainstream, and pick a few songs that the tester will recognise - that way he/she has something to compare it to.

Ya sorry, should have put that down. I'll be playing bass.

Then pick a few songs where the bass line is very prominant throughout the song. There's no point picking a song with mental drums and guitar solos - the tester will be watching you and your bass only.

Try and mix it up too - when I had my LC practical a few years ago I played drums, and performed a QOTSA song, a van morrison tune, and a few others. Try to show the tester that you are versatile and can play a few different styles of music.

Haven't really told me anything I hadn't already came up with myself but thanks anyway
