    Hi,
First off, this watch fascination is a passion and a curse!

I currently own an Omega Seamaster Pro (the new Bond version in quartz).
I am 30 in November and planned on buying a Speedmaster moonwatch. The grand plan was to wear the quartz during the week and the moonwatch at the weekend but now I have 2 problems in my own mind. One, I cannot justify the extra cost of another "high-end" watch sitting at home for most of the week.

Two, I am reading more about the co-axial movement/George Daniels and am experiencing some remorse for not having gone down that route. I have always wanted to get a swiss chronometer since I was young but have been swayed in the last few years by the Speedmaster's history and seemed determined to own one for my 30th. However, I now realise that the Seamaster is more practical for me. Do I REALLY need a chrono or a tachymetre?

I feel now that I should have gone with the automatic chronometer. Anyway, I plan on offloading the quartz seamaster and I'm wondering if anyone knows jeweller's which accept trade in's?

**Note I am aware that the co-axial may be marketing hype but another con against the auto was the 2-3 year service intervals and the associated expense / which was the deciding factor for the quartz. Now, however, I have read some good reviews for it's accuracy and the suggested service interval is 10 years!

Dawson Jewellers will take trade ins. No idea how much they'll give you for yours though. Just bear in mind the Speedmaster has poor water resistance, so there is a case for keeping the Seamaster and having both...

It's true that the co-axial escapement needs servicing only every 10 years (as per advertising), but the rest of movement is exactly the same as the old one, so I think the only way to find out the truth is to buy one. Anyway, you can't go wrong with an Omega.
What I like in a watch is a clean dial, especially on a dress watch. I could live though with a chrono, but the tachymetre will add too much clutter to the dial. And who needs a tachymetre in a watch anyway? That's why we have speedometers, GPS devices, etc, who will measure the speed of a moving vehicle more accurate than a tachymetre.
